What will you do?

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join a long-term project for a rapidly growing European fintech company that specializes in delivering Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions across the EU. The organization operates a fully cloud-native, API-driven platform that enables businesses—both regulated and non-regulated—to integrate modern banking services such as payments, lending, deposits, and card issuing into their products.

Their platform is built using modern microservices architecture and is designed for scalability, security, and compliance. The company collaborates closely with a fully licensed European digital bank, enabling end-to-end financial services delivery in line with regulatory standards. The work environment is highly dynamic, tech-focused, and international, offering opportunities to work on cutting-edge financial technology projects used by clients across various industries.

Please note: this is a B2B contract position – we are not recruiting for a permanent employment role.

Candidates must be based in Kraków or Wrocław or Poznań or Łódź and need to be available to work 2 days from the office, to foster team collaboration.

Your skills

• Knowledge of various testing techniques and the ability to use them in practice (at least 2-3 years of commercial experience)
• Including min. 2 years of experience in test automation and/or performance testing tools (experience in test automation is recommended)
• Basic programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology
• Experience in every-day use of version control system (GIT)
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Desire to build and evolve automation and development skills
• Experience in creating test documentation and test reports
• Experience with JIRA and other defect tracking tools
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, objectivity, strong problem-solving skills
• Fluent English in speech and writing (frequent communication with English-speaking clients)

Nice to have

• Practical experience with TDD/BDD
• Understanding of CI/CD processes
• API testing experience
