Job Description

You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, resilient software solutions. Working in an agile environment, you will contribute to the development of our shared service applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. While we aim for robust and well-architected solutions, there is also an expectation to support production systems and assist in resolving outages when required.

You will work with other developers from different levels and backgrounds, Project Manager, Development Manager, QA team and Technical Lead. Along with this, you will be required to support and advise business users on different matters during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, resilient, and scalable applications following software development best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Design, develop, and maintain component-based cloud applications in a web/internet delivery environment, alone or with other developers I or II.
• Work with a range of database technologies, including OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
• Work on SQL analysis regarding query performance, efficiency or troubleshooting.
• Contribute to infrastructure and deployment processes, working with EKS, Lambda, and EC2.
• Scopes, implements, tests and deploys new features and versions of core applications, databases and utilities.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Give estimates and risk analysis over created stories and certain topics.
• Performs hands-on coding and assists in the design of solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).
• Participates actively in planning meetings, retrospectives, daily stand ups, and other meetings as part of the software development process.
• Provides documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates when requested to do so.
• Writes and designs technical documents.
• Participates actively in reviews and technical design meetings and provides valuable feedback.
• Assists with providing third-level support to business users.
• Support and maintain production systems, including participating in on-call rotations for critical issues if required.
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Continuously improve development processes and stay up to date with industry trends.
• Prepares reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software when asked by his/her managers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science or other relevant field and demonstrable related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Working knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Demonstrable experience in advanced object-oriented programming, unit testing and web/server application design.
• Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and AWS services.
• Hands-on experience with database technologies such as OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of modern software development practices and design patterns.
• Strong ability to document development including database design, application design and ongoing documentation of changes and modifications.
• Experience with containerized environments and cloud infrastructure (EKS, Lambda, EC2).
• Knowledge on using RESTful APIs, JSON format, CSV, TSV.
• Experience in SAAS and PAAS Cloud, preferably AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to continuously changing technology.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

• Proficiency in Python or Node.js.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue.
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices.
