We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team and help build powerful software solutions that drive our industry-leading visual displays. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain software that supports everything from internal systems to high-performance media playback applications.

You’ll collaborate closely with a global team of engineers, designers, and developers to bring ideas to life and enhance the impact of our display products around the world.

As a Software Engineer at Simtech, you’ll:

• Design and develop software applications tailored for high-performance visual displays.
• Create media playback apps and interactive systems, primarily on platforms like Windows.
• Collaborate with other developers and engineers to define technical requirements and system designs.
• Debug, test, and refine code to ensure reliability and performance.
• Develop technical illustrations, documentation, and specs to support both internal development and end-user guidance.
• Integrate data from both internal systems and third-party sources to enhance functionality.
• Offer input on feature enhancements based on user feedback and ongoing testing.
• Support engineering and QA teams through the development lifecycle.

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for innovation. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Strong experience with C++ (OOP), Visual Basic, Python, and related programming languages.
• Solid experience with SDL2/SDL3, FFMPEG, and RapidJSON.
• Familiarity with GPU acceleration (e.g., CUDA/NVIDIA) and graphics programming.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL for web-based integration.
• Understanding of version control tools (Git, GitHub, Mercurial, Subversion).
• Experience working with Linux and Windows environments.
• Background in data mining, SCM, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with GPIO interactivity and HMI/AI systems is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Great communication skills and team spirit.
• Willingness to collaborate across departments and work with international teams.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Practical development experience in robotics, display systems, or Human-Machine Interface (HMI) technology is highly valued.
