Job Description

This is an opportunity that will present exposure to many well-known insurance brands, working within a well-established company in the North American insurance market with opportunities for career path development in many directions.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with 5+ years of experience as a business analyst/tester to join our team of implementation experts. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing, organizing, and digitizing content changes to meet business objectives and grow as a mentor for a small team in Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze commercial and personal lines insurance manuals and requirements documents to interpret and validate changes to align with regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and master our business processes, and recommend improvements in data management, error identification, quality control, or process automation in Verisk's internal tool.
  • Undertake the configuration of internal analytical products within the toolset and assist in the definition of the underlying logic.
  • Create and maintain documentation that will support the effective implementation of repeatable processes and workflows. Effectively utilize all programming guides and instructions to analyze the quality of data received and recommend actions for data quality improvements.
  • Present your analysis, ideas, progress, and results to internal managers and colleagues. Create clear and easy-to-understand analysis documents.
  • Work with business stakeholders to provide advice and guidance.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of training material.
  • Participate in Agile content development processes with an integrated team of content developers and QA analysts.
  • Learn and keep current on product features, functionality, and documentation.
  • Interpret clients’ needs and translate them into documented business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Work as part of an international team (US and Poland-based) and take responsibility for continuous personal and team development.
  • Act as a mentor for a small team in Poland (2 members) and provide local support for the US-based manager.

Qualifications

  • University degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Business analyst or QA analyst or equivalent role providing technical or analytical support.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented programming.
  • Experience in using defect tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile scrum environment and knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Logical, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Adept at problem-solving.
  • Experience in mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to respond to instructions and deal with the given task in front of you.
  • Experience with internal tools would be a strong asset.
