Project Description:

Our client (a major Australian bank) has a well-established vendor platform managing their trading businesses and they are looking for an SQL developer to join their FX Reconciliations Enhancements team with reconciliations background working in a bank. This role will require a self-starter developer with expertise in MS SQL and can lead development work along with Functional testing.

Our client is looking for a T shape professional who is also able to function as BA, test, dev as well and interact with clients, this is a multi-disciplinary role oriented towards end business feature delivery as a consultant. As this role is deeply engrained into the client FX reconciliation system it will require a developer with reconciliation knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and test any changes required for FX recon and payment investigation application and reporting.
• Develop MS SQL procedures, python based integration utilities, windows schedulers, and batch scripts for new reports.
• Work closely in build & support model and analyze root cause to resolve any production issues and provide prod support.
• Work closely with business to deliver new enhancements and projects in FX recon space.
• May have to work in 1pm to 10pm shift once in couple of weeks if needed(on ROTA basis ),other than that May have to work in 1pm - 10pm shift once in couple of weeks if needed(on ROTA basis )
• The squad is product oriented and the build and prod support team is same ( developers build for new initiatives and support BAU run as well - there is no separate production support team, its product based feature team that builds, maintains and runs the system end to end)

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 3 to 5 years of MS SQL experience
• Strong MS SQL knowledge (should be able to develop new procedures independently)
• Good knowledge on shell scripting
• Excellent Analytical skills, a sense of urgency to get things done.
• Excellent Communication skills (written & spoken)
• Should be comfortable switching roles (Developer, BA, and Tester) and working in a lean agile team
• Should have worked in reconciliation or Capital markets projects

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Good understanding of Agile scrum processes
• Strong C# .Net knowledge (ability to develop and enhance email MQ service)
• Good understanding of Python concepts
• Good understanding of core Java concepts
• Worked in production support and dev team
