Job Title: MFH-SOS Program Trainer
Summary – This is a contingent Opportunity and would begin work upon the contract award
Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. is seeking qualified, trained, and capable individuals to serve as candidates for Program Trainers to support the Army National Guard.
The Army National Guard (ARNG) MFH program renders professional military funeral honors, in accordance with service tradition, to all eligible veterans when requested by an authorized family member. The MFH program has developed a comprehensive network within communities which quickly responds to the needs of deceased Service members and their Families. SOS is part of the Army Casualty Continuum of Care, designed to provide long-term support to surviving Families of Fallen Soldiers. Our goal is to reassure Survivors that they remain valued members of the Army Family.
The Army National Guard (ARNG) is a geographically dispersed force whose members do not have the benefit of installation-based support for MFH and caring for survivors of our fallen heroes. The need to provide MFH and SOS to geographically dispersed service members and Families is ongoing and increases during periods of mobilization, active service, and state call-ups.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and deliver visually engaging and informative training materials and presentations necessary to develop and maintain a high level of proficiency of the MFH and SOS Coordinator staff.
- Analyze existing training content, program documents, policies, and best practices, ensuring alignment with current guidelines
- Assists with case transfers between components and from Casualty Mortuary Affairs Operations Division (CMAOD).
- Monitor training to ensure State Coordinators are well-versed in standards and evaluation techniques, data entry accuracy and reporting procedures.
- Assist with coordinating virtual MFH and SOS annual training events/conferences.
- Help coordinate and conduct Level 2 certification training course (“train-the-trainer”).
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree plus 3 years’ relevant experience. Other combinations of experience and education that meet minimum qualifications may be substituted.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in training and facilitation, including experience hosting virtual trainings in online meeting facilitation software.
- Prior experience serving in the military
- Must have knowledge of military lifestyle
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the military organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, regulations, and policy of the Department of Army
- Possess working knowledge of military protocol when addressing Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Troops and Government personnel
- Ability to effectively interface and communicate with civilian and military personnel at all levels
- Prior experience serving in the military
- Proficiency with computers, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power-Point.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Flexibility to support extended work hours as required
- Valid passport
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Clearance
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working on MFH-SOS or similar contract
- Knowledge, experience, and skills in military funeral honors and survivor outreach.
- Working knowledge of the structure and operation of the ARNG.
Other Skills And Abilities
- Ability to successfully complete a government background investigation to include FBI fingerprints.
- This position requires access to U.S. Government facilities and systems. U.S. Citizenship, a valid driver's license, transportation, and auto insurance are required.

Physical Demands: This individual works in office areas. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. They use a personal computer, telephones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Employee must be physically and mentally able to perform all contractual duties, which may include transporting, lifting and setting up displays, and standing and walking during activities.
