Position Summary
This position acting as SME in metrology technology, guiding metrologist to conduct measurements on metrology instruments, to ensure product specifications are achieved. Provides calibration support to the Straumann Shanghai. Lead the TMV and metrology methodology continuous optimization.
This position is based in our Shanghai Minhang office and reports directly to the Metrology Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish effective and efficient metrology measurement plan to determine and maintain quality of products.
- Read and understand product specifications and drawings, and optimize transferred control plan into more appropriate measurement programs as required.
- Responsible for the design of product measuring fixtures.
- Establish and optimize procedures on measurement management, tool control, calibrations.
- Responsible for acceptance of measuring equipment, maintenance and creation of operating instructions.
- Responsible for Gage Management and TMV (Test Method Validation).
- Guide metrologist to ensuring that instrumentation and equipment that support the manufacture and testing of products are calibrated at specified intervals. This includes executing calibration protocols, performing calibrations, making adjustments, and troubleshooting/repairing equipment.
- Work with cross functional teams to create and import inspection programs for various inspection equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience on Test Method Validation, GR&R, DOE.
- Experience in establishing and optimization of measurement protocols/programs.
- Experience in using, calibrating and programming of metrology devices, e.g. CMM, surface roughness tester, contour tester, profile tester, etc.
- Expertise on GD&T, related certification is preferred.
- Experience in medical device manufacturer is strongly preferred.
- Education majored in Metrology related is preferred. Certified Metrology Engineer license is highly preferred.
- Oral English communication is needed.
