Job Description
The position of Method Engineer is a key role for our client.
You are responsible for optimizing and developing the manufacturing & assembly processes in the fields of electronics or electromechanics. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic, friendly and motivated team within a growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Analyses & determines the procedures to follow for each production line considering the good practices and standards in force.
- Formalizes the processes & procedures necessary for the functioning of the organization.
- Creates the manufacturing files & detailed work procedures for assembly operations, ensuring their
- compliance.
- Supports the production of pre-series and the start of the industrialisation of products within the internal
- production as well as the supplier’s production.
- Analyse existing manufacturing and assembly processes to identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality & safety.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering, production & quality control teams to ensure fluid communication
- and effective coordination of activities.
- Participate in the selection of production and assembly equipment, ensuring their compatibility with the
- technical specifications of the products.
- Train and supervise operators on working methods and good practices, ensuring their appropriation of
- procedures. At the end of the support, the methodist will accredit the operator thus trained, manage the
- accreditations and their renewal.
- Oversee the implementation of newly designed methods and ensure their effectiveness and compliance
- with established quality standards.
- Perform production start-up audits to asses process compliance.
- Write purchasing specifications for suppliers, ensuring consistency with the technical specifications & qualities expected for the products.
- Provide technical support to suppliers.
- Participate in the qualification of suppliers as well as their abilities to produce in compliance with standards and compliance deadlines.
Your profile
- Minimum experience as an engineer in a similar field.
- A solid knowledge of electronic or electromechanical assembly processes.
- Basic knowledge of electronics or electromechanics, with ability to understand the principles of electronic
circuits
- Familiarity with IPC A610 ² IPC A620 standards would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills related to manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with production, engineering & quality assurance teams.
- Attention to detail & commitment to continuous process improvement.
- Good level of English.
