We're working with a client who's hiring an MES Technical Architect / Manager to support their global MES program. In this role, you'll help design and build manufacturing recipes within POMS MES across IT/OT environments in Europe and North America.
For clarity - POMS MES is a nice to have, and not mandatory.

.... You'll need a strong mix of manufacturing knowledge, technical consulting experience, and hands-on implementation skills.
You'll be developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a standard MES and automation architecture—always with an eye toward scalable, reusable solutions based on industry best practices.

Important: This role involves regular travel between the US and Europe.

What You’ll Be Doing: You'll collaborate with business units, engineering, and infrastructure teams to design and build MES recipes and system integrations that support global manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on, strategic role where you’ll:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in MES and industrial automation
- Design and implement manufacturing systems that improve efficiency and reliability
- Work across supply chain and production environments to align technology with business outcomes
- Lead recipe creation and updates (bonus points for POMSnet experience)
- Map process flows, gather requirements, and translate them into scalable solutions
- Integrate MES with ERP, PLM, and shop floor systems
- Support major MES upgrades—hardware, architecture, and process enhancements
- Collaborate with IT and business functions to align system development with long-term goals
- Follow Computerized System Validation and full Software Development Life Cycle (SLC) processes
- Validate system performance, conduct testing, and drive ongoing improvements
What You’ll Need to Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years in technical roles, including 5+ years in MES-focused manufacturing environments
- Strong recipe design experience using databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
- Proficiency in C# or Java
- Experience with global manufacturing systems and large-scale integration
- Deep understanding of SQL, web services, data mapping, and system interfaces
- Bonus: Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL, scanner/printer configuration
- Prior experience in validated, GxP-regulated environments, including IQ/OQ/PQ and SLC documentation
What’s on Offer: 💼 Base Salary: $150,000-$200,000
📈 Annual Increase: 3.5% guaranteed
🎯 Annual Bonus: 5-7% of base salary
