About The Team And The Role

eBay is seeking a dynamic and experienced Merch Store and Global Event Support Manager to oversee the global operations of our merchandise store and support our global events team. This role is pivotal in managing apparel, accessories, and ancillary products both on the San Jose campus and online platforms. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in program managing vendors, planning, and supporting the team as they execute global events. The candidate should be skilled in coordinating with merchandise suppliers and external agencies to ensure product designs and requests are fulfilled across various global markets. Additionally, the manager will collaborate with internal teams to develop custom, event-based, and seasonal merchandise that aligns with specific company needs and moments.

What You Will Accomplish

Merchandise Store Management:

  • Oversee the global operations of eBay's merchandise store, including both physical and online platforms.
  • Coordinate with merchandise suppliers and external agencies to ensure timely fulfillment of product designs and requests.
  • Develop custom, event-based, and seasonal merchandise in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Set up pop-up stores for seasonal events, ensuring these spaces are designed to enhance customer engagement and meet organizational objectives.


Global Event Support

  • Support global events through effective program management of vendors, planning, and execution.
  • Collaborate with event teams to ensure seamless integration of merchandise and event logistics.


Stakeholder Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective collaboration and alignment on communication and event initiatives.


What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience in merchandise management and event planning.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Flexibility to travel and work across different time zones as required.


The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$104,400 - $139,400

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
