We are seeking an experienced MEP Senior Project Engineer to oversee and manage the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on a variety of commercial and infrastructure construction projects. This position plays a critical role in ensuring MEP systems design, coordination, and installation are executed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience, technical expertise in MEP systems, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the design, coordination, and installation of MEP systems for construction projects.
  • Review and handle MEP drawings, submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and shop drawings.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless MEP system integration.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify MEP installation quality and compliance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Assist in project budgeting, scheduling, and cost control for MEP scopes.
  • Ensure adherence to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Perform risk identification and mitigation related to MEP systems; provide technical solutions as needed.
  • Lead and facilitate MEP coordination meetings with contractors, vendors, and trades.
  • Oversee commissioning and testing of MEP systems before project turnover.
  • Evaluate and select qualified MEP subcontractors, ensuring alignment with budget, scope, and project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in MEP engineering, construction management, or project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, building codes and MEP industry standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design and modeling software.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
