In partnership an industry leader and dedicated Data Centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to their Large Technology Clients, delivering throughout Europe. They are currently employing over 750 professionals and counting.
They specialise in providing turnkey Data Centre solutions, providing services from Design, through to Construction across the full range of Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Services as well as Commissioning.
In Finland. They are the Turnkey General Contractor for the Construction, Fit-Out, Commissioning and Handover of a 48MW Data Centre in Espoo.
We are pleased to announce that our client is currently seeking a Commissioning Manager to join our expanding team.
The Commissioning Manager will act as the Point Of Contact and will co-ordinate and liaise with a number of stakeholders both external and internal, and as such should have a good balance of Technical and Project Management experience and skills.
The role requires the identification, management of scopes and interdependencies between external and internal stakeholders and coordinating same with the Physical Construction Build.
Responsibilities:
Management and supervision of Commissioning Package engineers
Set work scope
Monitor and manage delivery of scope
Communication of deadlines and Commissioning programme Milestones
Management of project Commissioning Programme including Milestone and deadline management.
Ensure familiarisation and compliance with contract documents and procedures.
Planning and management of Vendor FAT/ FWT with possible attendance if necessary.
Management of CFCI and Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) vendors Commissioning Scope
Communication to all Commissioning Stakeholders
Attend and provide input to Daily/ Weekly Commissioning meetings, Internally, vendor and Client
Form, update and submission of Commissioning Progress and technical reports to line manager
Coordination and alignment with Project QAQC Dept to achieve common objectives.
Coordination and alignment with Project AP Dept to achieve common objectives.
Manage, deliver and obtain approval on relevant project Commissioning documents such as Test Scripts, Compliance statements etc
Manage the receipt, review and compliance of project Commissioning documentation to achieve the necessary Commissioning level sign off
Single POC for management and reporting of the planning and execution of scopes and deliverables
Identify, document and manage the Construction Phasing Deliverables of the relevant systems
Report Bi-weekly progress through the respective Design, Procurement, Execution and Handover phases.
Co-ordinate with the Client on snagging and handover
Facilitate, coach and aid in the scheduling of the installation and site on-boarding (H&S, Method Statements etc)
Ensure Health and Safety compliance
Requirements
Relevant certificates in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or a Trade with relevant training and experience
Process driven candidate and focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes is desirable
Solves problems analytically and acts decisively
Minimum of 3 Years’ experience in a similar role within a construction environment with experience in Commercial, Industrial, Pharma, Data Centre type projects is desirable.
Additional Benefits: You will be working on a 3-week rotational basis (17/4 Rotational Roster with flights covered. e.g Monday to Saturday for two weeks & then Monday to Wednesday) with additional benefits covering: all accommodation covered (solo accommodation/own apartment, fully furnished with all utility bills paid inc. Wi-Fi), all flight and travel expenses covered, an additional €250 weekly living allowance (net) paid directly into your bank on top of your salary, a mass of internal progression and opportunity and the ability to visit, see and work in some of the most attractive places across Europe.
Ideally you will have EU Passport / EU Eligibility to live in Finland and an excellent grasp of the English language.
