Expected salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience.

As a MEP Inspector at Tutor Perini Corp, you will report to the Project Quality Manager, you will perform quality control inspections related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and system start-up.

Description

• Ensures work is installed per the Project Documents.
• Witness installation, start-up and commissioning tests as required.
• Prepares inspection reports and records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents.
• Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules.
• Perform additional assignments at supervisor's direction.
• Inspect to contract specifications the quality of construction submittals, testing procedures, etc.
• Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
• Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work.
• Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents.
• Assist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
• Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules.
• Participate in internal/external quality control audits.
• Assist in reviewing material receiving documents to ensure compliance with quality control requirements.
  
  

Requirements

• Excellent command of commercial Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Codes. ICC/IAEI Certified individuals preferred
• (5) or more years of related project experience in support of design-build or heavy civil MEP testing, inspection, supervision or management.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.
• Ability to develop in-depth understanding of QA/QC manuals and programs.
