Position Description Advertised Job Summary We are seeking dynamic and motivated Mental Performance Interns to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves working with athletes, coaches, and staff to enhance mental skills that support performance excellence, resilience, confidence, and well-being. The post-master's internship is designed to prepare individuals intending to obtain full-time employment by providing experiences that promote consulting and professional development. Qualifications Master's with a specialization in applied mental performance, sport psychology or related field. CMPC certification (preferred or in progress). Experience working with collegiate student athletes is preferred. Experience in program development and session planning is preferred. Job Duties Job Duty Provide direct mental performance services to student-athletes and coaches (if applicable). Activities will be predominantly comprised of individual and team support. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 50 Job Duty Conduct assessment and evaluation of student-athletes through interviewing and inventories based on that determination, using a variety of techniques designed to enhance performance. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Lead or co-lead team or group sessions each semester based on mental performance needs. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Evaluate and recommend new techniques and training that would enhance the benefit of the mental performance program. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Other activities include mental health and mental performance staff meetings (bi-weekly), professional development, preparation and records, and a mental performance/administrative project that incorporates the intern's training interests and the needs of the mental performance department.
