MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST – DBT SPECIALIST
Our Company:
DBT Center of Silicon Valley is an outpatient mental health clinic providing therapy services to adolescents, adults and families. We work as a close-knit team to support clients struggling with serious mental health issues.
The Position:
We are looking for a part time therapist and skills trainer to provide comprehensive DBT
treatment to adolescents, families, and adults. This therapist will be asked to see approximately 5-15 individual DBT clients and co-lead up to three DBT skills groups per week. You will also be required to provide skills coaching to clients, attend weekly consultation team, and complete relevant client notes and billing tasks.
You may also be asked to attend trainings, participate in marketing activities, or other
administrative tasks. Some evening or weekend hours will be required for this position. You must be willing and able to see clients in-person in our San Jose, CA, office at least two days per week and work remotely other days.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for therapists who bring a passion for working with clients with complex clinical presentations. Our ideal candidate has official training and experience in providing comprehensive DBT and is looking to make this position a long-term career choice.
Candidate must hold a valid license to practice in the state of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, or Professional Clinical Counselor. Preference given to licensed professionals and registered associates will also be considered. Experience and training in CBT or ACT will also be considered relevant for this position.
