The University of Nevada, Reno Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Psychologist to join our growing team! This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support student mental health and contribute to a diverse university community. Under the supervision of the Director and Associate Director of Counseling Services, this clinician will:
Required Qualifications
Psychologist I - Doctorate Degree in clinical or counseling psychology to include a doctoral internship AND experience gained during the course of the degree program and related practicums/internships/postdocs is sufficient to qualify.
Psychologist II - Doctorate Degree in clinical or counseling psychology to include a doctoral internship AND three (3) years of related licensed work experience to include clinical supervisory experience OR in a specialty function.
Psychologist III - Doctorate Degree in clinical or counseling psychology to include a doctoral internship AND five (5) years of related licensed work experience to include a minimum of two (2) years clinical supervisory experience.
Licensure
Licensed Psychologist in the State of Nevada within one (1) year of employment.
If the incumbent does not hold a Nevada psychologist License at time of appointment, the incumbent will be shown as a “Psychotherapist”, Grade C until they are licensed in the state of Nevada. Licensing must take place within one (1) year of the date of appointment. Failure to earn a Nevada Psychologist License within one year will result in termination of the appointment.

Psychologist I – III starts at $95,510
Unlicensed Psychotherapist starts at $89,510.40

The University of Nevada Counseling Services is a growing university counseling center that provides individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, psychological assessment, outreach including educational workshops and presentations, general consultation and sport psychology consultation, and referrals to community health care providers.
