As we expand our development team, we’re looking for a Medior Python Developer with a passion for clean code and real-world impact.

Your Role

You’ll play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining software systems that support maritime engineering, simulation, and data analytics. Working closely with architects, engineers, and other developers, you’ll build solutions that make our oceans smarter, safer, and more sustainable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and data processing pipelines in Python
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate maritime needs into technical features
• Integrate APIs, sensor data, and simulation tools
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code
• Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning

Requirements

• minimum of 3 years of professional Python development experience
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles (OOP, testing, version control)
• Experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Familiarity with NumPy, Pandas, or data-centric Python libraries
• Experience working with APIs, databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and CI/CD tools
• Proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus)
• EU work permit

Nice to Have

• Experience in maritime, offshore, or simulation environments
• Knowledge of GIS, marine data formats (e.g., NetCDF, GRIB), or 3D visualization
• Interest in sustainability and green marine technologies
