Pride Health is seeking a Medical Technologist to join a team in Austin, TX 78717. This position is ideal for a dynamic healthcare professional with a strong background in first aid, emergency medical response, and workplace wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managed and replenished patient supply inventory across acute care, critical care, and ambulatory units, ensuring alignment with departmental budget and financial policies.
- Oversaw Omnicell and OptiFlex systems, as well as Floor Stock Carts, to maintain accurate cost and revenue reporting for patient supplies.
- Ensured timely and accurate charge capture of patient supplies in compliance with IDS policy; collaborated with nursing to resolve discrepancies and improve compliance.
- Generated and analyzed monthly financial, productivity, and operational performance metrics and dashboards.
- Conducted inventory optimization analyses to improve service levels and reduce costs, while consulting with departments on usage trends and par level adjustments.
- Led routine operational meetings with nurse management to address inventory and service performance issues and implement process improvements.
Skills:
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and computerized inventory control systems (PeopleSoft and Omnicell), departmental budgeting, system analysis techniques, medical supplies and equipment, and inventory and distribution of healthcare materials/services.
- Ability to operate a personal computer, collect and analyze raw data to draw conclusions and make recommendations to maintain and improve operations.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and perform process improvement, as well as effective leadership and customer service skills.
Required:
- Certification: Required AMT or ASCP MT or MLS certification,
- Experience in Chemistry, Hematology & Urinalysis testing
- Education: Bachelor's Degree- Business, Purchasing, Materials Mgmt, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Nursing, or other healthcare/engineering/technical field of study.
- Experience: Required 5 years' experience in logistics and distribution AND 2 years supervisory/management experience
Additional Information:
- Location: Austin, TX 78717
- Schedule: Day shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with rotating weekends, some holidays
- Contract Length: 3 months with the possibility of extension
- Travel Gross Pay: $2086/Week for 40 hours
- Local Pay Range: $41 - $46/hour
