The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) serves as a key scientific and medical expert, acting as a strategic partner both internally and externally to advance the company's medical and scientific objectives in the therapeutic area of Oncology.

Key Responsibilities

🔬 Scientific & Medical Leadership

Serve as the primary medical point of contact for non-promotional activities

Conduct scientific and medical exchanges with HCPs, particularly Key Thought Leaders (KTLs), providing expert insights on disease state, mode of action, efficacy, and safety

🤝 External Engagement & KTL Management

Lead planning and execution of personalized KTL engagement strategies using non-commercial segmentation and a 360° stakeholder view

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with KTLs, academic institutions, and medical networks to identify educational and research opportunities

🧪 Clinical & Research Support

Support clinical trial activities in alignment with Clinical Operations (ICSO)

Handle early access, investigator-initiated studies, collaborative research, and congress sponsorship requests in accordance with SOPs and standards

📚 Scientific Exchange & Education

Deliver non-promotional scientific education, including training for HCPs and participation in medical congresses and internal/external education events

Collect and communicate medical insights, literature updates, and scientific trends to inform medical strategy

💡 Medical Strategy & Internal Collaboration

Translate local medical strategy into actionable engagement plans and contribute to cross-functional execution

Leverage hybrid engagement methods (F2F, email, video calls) and digital tools like iConnect to optimize HCP interactions

🛡 Compliance, PV & QA

Ensure full adherence to pharmacovigilance, QA, and compliance policies

Promptly report any drug safety or quality issues in accordance with Merck standards and applicable regulations

What We’re Looking For

Team player with excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills

Proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work independently

Experience In RWD (Real-World Data) Generation – Preferred

Digital savvy and comfortable working with hybrid engagement platforms
