United Diagnostics Lab, LLC. is looking for a full time Medical Lab Technician/Medical Technologist to work in our Dallas, TX location. As a part of the UDL team, this position reports to the Lab Manager. Schedule: Full Time, Mon-Fri 11a.m. - 8 p.m. Position: Medical Lab Technician/Medical Technologist Location: Dallas, TX Department: Laboratory Responsibilities: The MLT/MT is responsible for collecting and processing patient samples and performing clinical laboratory analysis at all complexity levels for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Responsible for coordinating and performing all preanalytical, analytic and post analytic laboratory activities in collaboration with the lab director and technical consultant. Job Duties: · Performs proficiency testing and reporting · Will investigate atypical results and discrepancies. · Expedites critical test results. · Shall always maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and patient records. · Must always keep a clean and safe work environment. · Knowledgeable about proper hazardous material disposal methods · He/she will perform proper aseptic technique on all patients. · Will assist in keeping up inventory and supply ordering. · Performs preventative maintenance on instruments such as calibration · Maintains and records data · Will ensure accurate test results by following a strict quality control program. Qualifications: Associate’s degree. ASCP certification preferred. 1-2 years clinical lab experience. Experience with Toxicology and PCR a plus. Excellent Communication Skills, Working knowledge of computers and proficient in Microsoft programs. Must be flexible to work varied hours due to business needs.
