Description:
The Medical Education Coordinator is responsible for facilitating various aspects of medical education initiatives of the Operation Smile Philippines (OSP) Cebu Center of Excellence (COE). This position ensures education program administrative, logistics, and resources align to ensure smooth delivery of programs for medical professionals and community/caregiver
trainings. The Medical Education Coordinator will facilitate scheduling, resources needed for educator placements, day-to-day programmatic needs, and reporting. The Cebu COE Medical Education Coordinator reports directly to the Medical Education Manager.
Essential Functions:
Programmatic Coordination and Support (50%)
Coordinate and implement the day-to-day resource mobilization, scheduling, and logistical needs for education activities.
Prepare program materials, resources, set up and break down of trainings, and education materials for OS COE courses and meetings.
Ensure the proper maintenance and availability of educational tools, technology, educational resources, and equipment for ongoing trainings.
Provide support for community-driven and other education training activities, including facilitating programs with LGUs, community organizations, and caregivers.
Work closely alongside the Medical Education Manager to ensure all activities have the appropriate support and alignment with Medical Education objectives.
Collaboration and Communication (25%):
Collaborate alongside all operations, education, and patients team to ensure smooth flow of program activities and resources daily, plan for potential needs and challenges
Coordinate educator and trainee logistics for their participation (communication, logistics, paperwork, processing educator status and responsibilities).
Represent Operation Smile Philippines and the Cebu COE to stakeholders visiting the COE, from government, NGO, LGU, community members, and patient caregivers.
Actively identify and support improvements in operations that may impact the success of the overall Center. Exercise good judgement in escalating issues.
Assist in leveraging functional and technical expertise from Operation Smile HQ and elsewhere to strengthen Center services within the Cebu COE.
Actively engage in team goal setting, weekly meetings, and professional growth alongside the OS Philippines team and Cebu COE.
Compliance and Reporting (20%):
Ensure all compliance guidelines and policies are implemented relating to medical education activities, financial, and outcomes reporting.
Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs; analyze feedback from participants to continuously improve training initiatives.
Prepare reports and documentation to track program outcomes and impact, including weekly and monthly reports and data and metrics coordination.
Professional Development (5%):
Stay updated with the latest trends, developments, and opportunities in medical education.
Attend relevant workshops and training sessions, as well as continuous learning among staff and volunteers.
Requirements:
University (BA/BS) in education, healthcare administration, nursing, business, management, communication, non-profit studies, or related field.
2+ years of professional experience and program / project experience.
Professional experience working on curriculum support and educational program coordination.
Work experience in an international NGO context is desirable.

Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
English and Visayan / Cebuano language proficiency is mandatory.
