Insight Global is looking for a medical coder to join their clients team on a full-time basis in Long Island, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately assign codes to diagnoses and procedures using systems like CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
• Ensure coding practices comply with government regulations and insurance policies.
• Examine patient charts and documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow up with medical staff to clarify any unclear information.
• Prepare and submit forms to insurers for reimbursement.
• Analyze medical records to identify documentation deficiencies and ensure proper coding.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in medical coding or a related role.
• Proficiency in coding software, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication abilities.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional certification in medical coding is preferred.
