Responsibilities: - Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems - Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations - Abstract relevant information from medical records for coding purposes - Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate code assignment - Stay updated on changes in coding regulations and guidelines - Assist with medical billing processes as needed Skills: - Proficiency in ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Attention to detail and accuracy in code assignment - Ability to interpret complex medical documentation - Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Effective communication and interpersonal skills Note: Experience in medical coding is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong aptitude for coding.
