Medical Billing & Reimbursement Specialist
to join our local team here in Lancaster

We are a Behavioral Health Provider Specializing in IBHS-ABA Services
for Children in Early Childhood through Elementary School in Lancaster.

Bonus:  There are Limited Billing Codes & Modifiers in ABA Medical Billing!

We are currently transitioning from a manual multi-portal billing structure to a streamlined
behavioral health specific electronic clearinghouse and are looking for a motivated & experienced Medical Billing & Reimbursement Specialist who has the skills to help us fully transition into this new, streamlined system while also helping us correct, resubmit, and recover billing that was originally submitted via our old multi-portal system. 
 

Seeking an Independent Professional who has experience with and can take on the following responsibilities:

  • Initial Insurance Eligibility & Benefits Verifications
  • Weekly EVS checks on all clients to ensure continued coverage
  • Submitting and Following Up On service Authorization Requests
  • Submitting Reimbursement Claims for client services for both primary and secondary insurances
  • Following up on insurance company requests for corrections, rejections, and denials and consistently following them through to full reimbursement for client services that have been provided
  • Pulling remittances, tracking, and revenue reporting, including Accounts Receivable and any reimbursement issues with which assistance is needed
Experience working with PerformCare - Medical Assistance, IBHS, and/or ABA highly desired.
 Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Hourly pay rate - negotiated based on demonstrated experience and training

Minimum Qualifications Desired
  • At least three (3) years of continuous and proven experience as a medical billing specialist, preferably in a Behavioral Health environment
  • Experience with medical assistance (MA) billing
  • Ability to process financial information quickly and accurately
  • Skilled with Excel & QuickBooks
  • 3 positive professional reference checks, including one from former/current direct supervisor
Minimum Requirement as Required by our State IBHS License & MA Regulations
  • Can produce “clear” PA required clearances (PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Criminal Check, FBI Fingerprint Clearance) valid within 1 year of hire date
  • No History of Fraud, Waste, or Abuse as reported in state data-bases
  • Can pass additional background clearance checks as required by the state
  • Proof of Eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma/GED required
