Summary

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance with medical billing regulations. This role is essential in facilitating the financial operations of our medical office, and it requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and patient records. Duties - Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients. - Review and verify patient information, insurance coverage, and medical records for accuracy. - Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and DRG to ensure correct billing practices. - Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the collection process for outstanding balances. - Maintain organized records of all billing transactions and communications with payers. - Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in patient records or billing issues. - Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance. Qualifications - Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical records management. - Experience with medical billing software and systems is preferred. - Familiarity with medical coding practices, including ICD-10 and DRG methodologies. - Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare staff. - Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is advantageous. - Knowledge of medical collection processes is a plus.
