Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Biller/Coder located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The Medical Biller/Coder will be responsible for managing patient billing, coding medical records, and handling insurance claims. Tasks include coding diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, processing medical billing, resolving insurance denials, and ensuring compliance with Medicare and other insurance policies. The role also involves frequent communication with clinical staff and insurance companies, as well as maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and ICD-10 coding
• Experience with insurance billing and handling insurance denials
• Familiarity with Medicare policies and procedures
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Previous experience in medical billing and coding preferred
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification or equivalent is beneficial
