Medical Biller and Coder at Spine and Sports Rehabilitation Pain Management Physical Therapy/Pain Management center Islandia, NY, USA Part or Full-Time Medical $20.00 --$27.00 / hr part time or $40,000 to $50,000 + full time/per year We are looking for a dependable, experienced, bright, responsible, team player for our Physiatry/Pain management/ Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation Center billing department. This is an in-person, either part time or full time position (approximately 35 hours/week). Qualified candidate should have minimum of two years of billing experience. Must be proficient in reading EOB's, medical claim processing of No Fault and Workers Compensation and Out of Network Commercial health insurance plans, collections of unpaid balances, verification of insurance benefits, EMR use , excellent phone skills, and ability to work together with the management team. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/Pain Management billing/coding experience is ideal. Duties: Follow-up of any outstanding A/R all-payers, , and the resolution of denials Prepares and submits claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper. Handle the follow-up of outstanding A/R all-payers and /or the resolution of needed documentation. Answers question from patients and insurance companies. Handle all correspondence related to insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get the maximum payments and accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability. Take calls from insurance companies regarding billing and statement questions. Process and post all patient and/or insurance payments. About Physical Therapy Pain Management: State of the art multi-disciplinary Rehabilitation and Pain Management Center is seeking a NYS Licensed and registered Part-Time Physical Therapist to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 8 hours per day.
