Responsibilities:

• Key Responsibilities:
  
  

Claims Management

• Scrub and submit 75 claims daily to ensure accuracy and compliance with insurance requirements.
• Monitor and resolve claim rejections or denials promptly, including the submission of appeals as necessary.
• Accounts Receivables
• Post 20 ERAs (Electronic Remittance Advices) daily to patient accounts and address discrepancies.
• Handle daily accounts receivables tasks, including insurance follow-ups and resolving outstanding balances.
• Generate and send patient statements daily to ensure timely payment collections.
• Medical Records and Invoicing
• Process and send approximately 5 medical records invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Bank Reconciliation
• Perform weekly bank account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for and financial records are accurate.
• Compliance and Appeals
• Submit appeals for denied claims, providing thorough documentation and following up to ensure resolution.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and internal policies for all billing activities.
• Reporting and Communication
• Maintain accurate records of billing activities, including detailed notes on claim statuses and payment progress.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve billing concerns or questions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Medical billing and coding certification preferred.
• Prior experience in medical billing and coding preferred.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and billing regulations.
