Ready to join in? We are looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join a busy spine team. The position is responsible for providing clinical support to the Physician, PAs and Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an outpatient clinical setting. The MA assumes responsibility for patient flow, vitals, and preparing exam rooms. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment. The position will primarily be based at the Naperville clinic. The candidate must be flexible to travel to Westchester, Oak Brook and Joliet for clinic day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Direct the flow of patients into the exam room,
- Takes patient histories, accurately measure vital signs, including weight, height and blood pressure and carefully document in patient’s chart.
- Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records.
- Assist physician, PA and Nurse with clinic procedures as needed.
- Hands instruments and materials to doctor as directed.
- Collect/assist with the collection of specimens, sterilizes instruments as needed, and removes staples, sutures, and external fixation devices as ordered by the physician.
- Dressing changes/wound assessments. Staple and suture removal as needed.
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by Physician, PA, and Nurse.
- Prepares charts for upcoming clinics. Ensure all related reports are available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment.
- Triage patient calls, schedule/cancel appointments, and schedule surgeries as directed by the physician.
- Ensure rooms are cleaned between patients, as well as cleaned and stocked at the end of the day.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education And/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant medical assistant work experience.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and the ability to interact with patients, physicians and co-workers.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
