Summary

The Media Supervisor, Strategy and Communications, is responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and optimization of cross-channel media strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of audience insights, competitive research, and media planning principles to ensure that all media strategies align with client objectives and broader business goals.


You will partner with the Associate Director, Media Directors, and VP of the Strategy Group to organize and manage workflow, coordinating planners and assistant planners to fulfill all media planning, analysis, and scheduling requests. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure strategic direction and goals are effectively translated into actionable media plans.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, identifying key challenges and opportunities within the consumer journey.
  • Assist the Associate Director in the execution of media strategy, ensuring cross-channel plans meet client objectives and business goals.
  • Determine optimal strategic and tactical media approaches across digital, print, video, audio, OOH, and specialty channels.
  • Lead the development and writing of client-facing media plan recommendations, including flowcharts, KPIs, and budgets, integrating input from investment teams.
  • Foster collaborative and productive relationships with Investment (Client Services, Buying) teams and Havas Edge Affiliates to ensure seamless execution of media strategies.
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of media plans, including consumer profiling, audience research, budgeting, scheduling, and performance benchmarking.
  • Ensure accuracy and strategic alignment in media recommendations, leveraging syndicated research, RFP insights, and proprietary tools.
  • Manage client requests, including plan updates, budget modifications, and performance assessments.
  • Evaluate and analyze media performance to determine how well original objectives, strategies, and KPIs were met.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to junior team members, guiding them in media planning, research methodologies, and strategic analysis.
  • Maintain quality control over media deliverables, ensuring all projects are accurate, complete, and aligned with business goals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging media opportunities, and evolving consumer behaviors to enhance strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Analytics to assess campaign KPIs and continuously refine performance metrics.


WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and ability to take on increasing responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of strategic marketing performance plans and how media contributes to business objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of media concepts, planning strategies, and key research tools.
  • Expertise in leveraging syndicated research (e.g., MRI-Simmons, Vivvix) to develop audience insights and competitive analyses.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to think cross-channel and develop integrated media approaches across digital and offline channels.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience overseeing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
