Primary Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret government contracts, statements of work, and FAR/DFAR regulations.
  • Review and update company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect mechanical components in accordance with drawing packages.
  • Complete FAI review (AS9102) and conduct source inspection at approved Supplier locations.
  • Report supplier quality metrics to management.
  • Review and approve assembly work instructions.
  • Approve Procurement requisitions.
  • Read and understand Drawings and Technical data packages.
  • Perform Internal AS9100 audits.
  • Write Non-conformance and complete root causes and corrective actions.
  • Perform inspection of mechanical and machine parts for drawing compliance.
  • Report Supplier “notice of changes” to Management.
  • Conduct product line validations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a BS degree and 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master with 2-6 years of relevant experience. (In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma/GED or equivalent education and 10 years of relevant Quality experience will be considered).
  • Must be able to solve complex problems, relate with other team members, and communicate with other levels of management.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding when reading and interpreting drawings.
  • Must have experience with electrical test environment and test equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of how to efficiently use micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gages, and calipers etc.
  • Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
  • Candidate must be able to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
  • Candidates must have Computer Skills and can use computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
  • Applicants must be able to work full-time with minimal supervision and adjust priorities based on workflow.
  • Must be willing to travel to customer sites to perform quality source inspections.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or able to obtain (and be able to maintain) Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with DCMA or government Acquisition regulations.
  • Previous Government auditing experience.
  • Solumina or other MES programs.
  • Power BI metric reporting.

Pay Range

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
