Job Overview


The Project Deputy Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and executing projects. The deputy manager oversees project timelines, allocates resources, and coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met. The Deputy Manager also supports monitoring project budgets, quality control, and risk management while ensuring efficient communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities Area & Duties

 

  1. Schedule with the on-site projects team - Streamline workflow between Workshop and Site
  2. Maintain a strict delivery schedule - Coordinate with the workshop for the dispatch and execution of projects components
  3. Finalise requirements, issue drawings, and communicate with the concerned person - Co-ordinate with Project Engineer, Production Engineer & Design Engineer
  4. Smooth execution of the project at the client site - Coordinate with the client-side project engineer
  5. Supervision & point of contact for a client site - Travel to the client site
  6. Assures system and plant quality - Testing finished- product, confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
  7. Project documentation, records & compliance as per government guidelines about the nature of the project - Communicate with the client site for spares, keeps a record of dispatch of spares and requirement at the site
  8. Project completion report & handover - Training the client-assigned team members, and maintaining records for the training.


Qualifications & Skills Required


Education required


  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Master in business administration in Operations or Projects.


Knowledge required


  • Strong knowledge of Project Management in an Engineering Company and machine drawings
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Efficient in using tools such as MS Office & Google Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Sheets, etc)
  • Project Management Certification is an added Advantage


Experience required


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Execution or related work with machine manufacturers


Technical Competencies


  1. Fabrication drawing understanding & vision
  2. Machin spare terminologies & technical usage
  3. Basic understanding of construction to understand client site requirements

  1. Team Management for coordination with multiple departments
  2. Team spirit & teamwork attitude
  3. Coordination with follow-up to be on top of the situation
  4. Balanced & understanding of communication between Workshop and Site work
