Job Title: Mechanical Project Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our team in Grand Rapids. The successful candidate will manage projects from the initial meeting with the general contractor through preconstruction, building, and closing phases. This role requires utilizing technical knowledge of mechanical systems and construction to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will effectively lead a team, achieving project goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Meet with general contractors to discuss project requirements.
- Oversee all phases of project management including preconstruction, building, and closing.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project documentation.
- Implement change orders and manage construction contracts.
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve project objectives.
Essential Skills
- Project management experience in mechanical construction.
- Proficiency in construction management and coordination.
- Experience with construction software and technology.
- Knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Understanding of commercial construction processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in coordinating mechanical construction projects.
- Strong computer skills, especially in construction software.
- Experience with estimation and change order processes.
- Ability to work effectively with subcontractors and manage construction documents.
Work Environment
The Mechanical Project Coordinator will primarily work in an office setting, with required site visits a few times a week as necessary. Projects are located within a 35-mile radius of the office. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr.
