Preferred qualifications: * Experience assembling electro-mechanical products such as hyperscale compute, network, or storage racks. * Experience with or knowledge of one or more fabrication processes such as NCT sheet metal (soft tool), metal stamping (hard tool), injection molding, die casting, CNC, welding, press brake forming, or hardware insertion and manufacturing statistical processes (e.g., SPC and Cp/CpK). * Excellent technical program management and written and verbal communication skills, with experience planning and executing projects with cross-functional teams. As a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer (MME) in the Cloud Supply Chain Organization (CSCO), you will provide New Product Introduction (NPI) manufacturing support, design guidance for the server, storage, and network hardware that populates Google Data Centers. You'll have the opportunity to build prototype server products and occasionally travel to the Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to support fabrication and assembly for new products while helping resolve issues and implement manufacturing process optimizations. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000-$138,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities * Develop manufacturable and scalable sheet metal (soft and hard tooled) and electro-mechanical rack assembly products from concept to mass production with guidance from senior engineers. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Design Engineering, Quality, Program Managers, Safety, Global Commodity Management, Sustaining Engineering, and DC Technicians to help implement cost-effective designs and manufacturing processes optimized for scalability. * Participate in supplier technical evaluations, product qualification planning, and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for mechanical parts, assemblies, and rack integration at CM partners based on volume, ramp timeline, and product requirements. * Work with the Product Data Management team to create, review, and approve Bill of Materials (BoM), Approved Manufacturer Lists (AML), and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) with guidance from senior engineers.
