To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a
Mechanical Engineering Intern (2nd Shift) located in our
Columbia, SC site.
Reporting to the
Automation Engineering Team, the Intern will assist with daily tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assist Engineering Team with meeting site production objectives
- Reviewing documentation, CAD drawings and reporting finding to team
- Monitoring bottlenecks and making recommendations to management
- Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
- Sophomore/Junior student pursuing Mechanical/Industrial Engineering major
- CAD tools (Solidworks) experience
- Chrono analysis
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis
- Lean/Six Sigma helpful
- Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work 2nd Shift: M-F; 3pm – 11pm
- Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
- Previous internship experience a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
- 10-12 week Summer assignment (in-person)
- Available to work 40 hours/week
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 GPA
