Overview
Kimley-Horn's is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-In-Training with 2+ years of experience to join the Saint Paul, Minnesota (MN) office's MEP team!
Responsibilities
* Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
* Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
* Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
* Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.
* Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale HVAC design.
* Project type will vary but may include Airports, Facilities, Universities, and more.
Qualifications
* 2+ years experience in a similar mechanical engineering role
* An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical Engineering
* EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain certification
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients
* Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic
* Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
* Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
* Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals
* Exposure to Revit and/or AutoCAD
Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000
