THE ROLE: Associate Mechanical Engineer


LOCATION: Waukesha, WI

REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Engineering

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Exempt


OUR OPPORTUNITY:

The Mechanical Engineer designs, tests, integrates, and assists in the installation of small to medium-scale mechanical systems. They use computer-aided design software to create designs and schematics that are simple to intermediate and apply mechanical engineering principles with creativity, experience, and knowledge to solve simple problems. Mechanical Engineers work with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and select proper mechanical components for each design project. Compare costs and performance specifications to provide optimal value.
  • Serve as primary contact for resolving mechanical problems during and after installation.
  • Coordinate with the Sales team and customers in preparing sales quotes for engineered-to-order projects and other special requests.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing to assemble and test mechanical components and systems.
  • Utilize computer-aided design software to prepare the complete design and layout of the mechanical system, including bill of materials (BOM).
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during the development and production phases.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency with 2D and 3D modeling software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment (copier/printer).
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Current, valid driver’s license.
  • Travel up to 10% per year
