Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to provide technical evaluation, design review, construction support, and project closeout services for data center projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, local regulations, and quality standards, and will work closely with internal teams and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Selection Technical Evaluation:
• Review information from internal teams regarding potential data center sites.
• Evaluate compliance with customer requirements and provide detailed reports.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to finalize evaluation reports, highlighting deviations and mitigation measures.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to assess actual conditions.
• Design Documentation Review:
• Review design documents and submissions from contractors against customer requirements and industry standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for design improvements.
• Advise on issues that may impact future engineering or installation.
• Construction Support:
• Attend factory witness tests, site acceptance tests, and weekly coordination meetings.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to design and quality standards.
• Identify safety hazards and recommend mitigation actions.
• Respond to RFIs and assist with engineering disputes and change management processes.
• Project Closeout:
• Participate in weekly closeout meetings, tracking progress on engineering issues.
• Provide technical advice for necessary rectifications.
• Review and accept as-built documentation and lessons learned.
  

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in construction engineering, design review, or project management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with local regulations and quality assurance practices.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
