Position Summary


We’re seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing R&D team. This individual will be instrumental in designing, prototyping, and validating next-generation medical devices and systems. You’ll work closely with electrical engineers, biomedical engineers, and industrial designers to bring products from concept through commercialization.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer at VitaTek. As our next Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for machine design, computer-aided design (CAD), project management, and research and development (R&D) tasks related to innovative medical device development and manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead mechanical design and development of medical devices, enclosures, and system components.
  • Create CAD models, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Conduct tolerance analyses, material selection, and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews.
  • Develop and execute test plans for verification, validation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize designs for cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Participate in risk assessments, design reviews, and cross-functional team meetings.
  • Maintain engineering documentation according to ISO 13485 and FDA QSR requirements.


Qualifications


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical analysis tools (FEA, thermal analysis, etc.).
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques and materials.
  • Experience in Project Management and Research and Development (R&D)
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and medical device manufacturing processes (ISO)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
