Summary

Brockenbrough is growing! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our team supporting the Federal Fuels Market Sector. This role involves assisting with mechanical design, inspection, and planning services for industrial and fuel-related infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, an interest in piping and fuel systems, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in mechanical design and layout of industrial piping and pumping systems, storage tanks, and related equipment.
  • Support field inspections and gather data to inform engineering design and planning efforts.
  • Prepare and update technical drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop project plans and specifications.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, reports, and communication logs.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project) to create reports, schedules, and presentations.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable industry standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Understanding of industrial mechanical systems, including piping layout, pumping systems, and storage tanks.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving project needs.
