Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with 4-5 years of experience in design and manufacture. The ideal candidate will also have 2 years of experience in project management, overseeing the work of 1-2 engineers. This role involves hands-on creation and revision of system design drawings using SolidWorks, supporting production techniques from design to manufacturing, and assisting in the development of functional test procedures for products. Experience in document control procedures under ISO 9001 or equivalent industry standards is required, as well as the ability to manage Technical Data Packages.
Responsibilities
* Create and revise drawings to reflect system designs in SolidWorks.
* Support production techniques from design to manufacturing.
* Assist in developing functional test procedures for products.
* Control and manage Technical Data Packages.
* Utilize SolidWorks database to move data from other platforms, such as Inventor.
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in SolidWorks.
* Mechanical Engineering expertise.
* Experience with Inventor and PDM systems.
* Ability to handle engineering change orders.
* Competence in mechanical design and drafting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience with Document Control procedures under ISO 9001 or equivalent industry standards.
* Project management experience overseeing 1-2 engineers.
* Hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering and production documentation.
Work Environment
The work environment is a large, modern manufacturing facility located in Nottingham (White Marsh), MD. The facility specializes in building state-of-the-art Blast Containment Vessels for various Department of Defense and Government customers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
With over 30 years of manufacturing experience, business development, and close working relationships with end-users, system integrators, and technology developers, we are an expert in providing ready, relevant, and reliable solutions to military forces and public safety. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, based outside Baltimore, Maryland, is a 46,000-square-foot building capable of both large and small-scale metal fabrication, assembly, and kitting.
