Job Description:

This position requires a combination of big picture thinking, design and hands-on engineering. We are in the midst of designing and testing new thermal processes which require the ability to use industrial refrigeration systems and match with specialty heat exchangers. Responsibilities include working with a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, chemical, electrical and automation engineers to create overall process solution designs to meet specific outputs. Able to test designs at the factory and follow into the field, create SOP’s, troubleshoot and drive improvements.


Required skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams
  • Take products from concept to manufacture, to operation with use of practical engineering fundamentals.
  • Complete and review mechanical design and engineering calculations.
  • 3D CAD design experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and system design
  • Experience with Industrial Refrigeration system operations and design (ammonia experience preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally



Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years of hands-on engineering
