We are working with a fast-growing New Space company seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their skilled team in Los Angeles!

As a Mechanical Engineer you will design and deliver complex, high-performance mechanical systems for use in challenging environments. You'll take concepts from early design through to tested, production-ready hardware.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing large-scale products or systems with moving parts!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine mechanical designs using 3D CAD and simulation tools
• Analyze structural, thermal, and dynamic performance
• Build, test, and iterate prototypes using a range of fabrication techniques
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration
• Own documentation and drive improvements across design iterations

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with precision mechanisms and structural systems
• Strong background in simulation, prototyping, and testing
• Familiarity with environmental design considerations (e.g., thermal extremes, sealing)
• Hands-on and detail-oriented, with a drive for functional, reliable solutions

Base Salary range: $130k-$170k depending on experience level
