This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineer to provide technical knowledge and expertise in developing products, processes, procedures, and manufacturing methods. The ideal candidate enjoys resolving product issues, addressing product cost, and provide technical support to manufacturing team members. - Demonstrated capability to perform engineering analysis and familiarity with commonly used analysis tools (e.g. FEA, DFX, etc).
- Good understanding in tolerance stack up analysis (GD&T).
- Capable of designing/ debugging complex electromechanical products.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication processes for metals and commonly used plastics. Sheet metal and plastic injection design experience is desirable.
- 4 years’ experience in new product development or sustaining engineering role. 2 years’ experience as an engineer supporting manufacturing.
- Design experience with capital/process equipment and small products with significant mechanisms and robotics automation
- Experience with manufacturing processes (i.e.Injection Molding, Extrusion, Metal Forming & Stamping) is desirable.
- Experience integrating industrial design and human factors in design is desired.P
- roficiency in SolidWorks CAD is a must; experience in SolidWorks PDM is a plus.
- Must have a strong work ethic and good written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter and must be able to work independently with minimum supervision or direction.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English is essential.
- Capable of juggling multiple task, setting priorities and meeting schedules.
- A BSME/MSME or equivalent combination of experience and education.
