Job Description
We are seeking a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate to join our team as an intern for a 2-month temporary position, with the potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance. This is a hands-on role, working in our office 5 days a week, where you’ll contribute to the design, development, and testing of robotic actuators, testing equipment, assembly equipment, and robotic systems. This position offers immense opportunities to learn and grow in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components for robotic systems.
- Participate in prototyping, assembly, and testing of robotics hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate mechanical designs.
- Conduct hands-on experiments and troubleshooting to optimize system performance.
- Document design processes, test results, and technical specifications.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new product features and improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Basic working knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science principles.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, or similar).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in building, prototyping, machining, or 3D printing, with a passion for creating and tinkering.
- Past projects or work experience showcasing hands-on technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Enthusiasm for robotics and a desire to learn in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
