Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models of electric motor components and assemblies (rotors, stators, housings, shafts, etc.) using SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Develop manufacturing drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and BOMs for prototyping and production.
• Collaborate closely with electrical and thermal engineers to ensure mechanical designs are optimized for performance and manufacturability.
• Iterate designs based on feedback from testing, prototyping, and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews.
• Select appropriate materials based on application requirements (thermal, structural, cost).
• Maintain organized CAD files, version control, and documentation.
• Interface with vendors for fabrication, machining, and rapid prototyping.
• Contribute to mechanical innovation for cooling, compact packaging, and cost reduction in motor systems.
