Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models of electric motor components and assemblies (rotors, stators, housings, shafts, etc.) using SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
Develop manufacturing drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and BOMs for prototyping and production.
Collaborate closely with electrical and thermal engineers to ensure mechanical designs are optimized for performance and manufacturability.
Iterate designs based on feedback from testing, prototyping, and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews.
Select appropriate materials based on application requirements (thermal, structural, cost).
Maintain organized CAD files, version control, and documentation.
Interface with vendors for fabrication, machining, and rapid prototyping.
Contribute to mechanical innovation for cooling, compact packaging, and cost reduction in motor systems.
