We have partnered with a well-known manufacturer and are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join a team in Houston, TX. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our machinery operates at peak performance, while also contributing to design improvements and long-term equipment reliability. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support efforts to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime
  • Design and modify mechanical systems to increase operational efficiency
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams on system upgrades and preventive maintenance plans
  • Develop and implement strategies for machine performance optimization
  • Manage design projects using tools such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
  • Document engineering changes, maintenance protocols, and equipment specifications
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and sustainability


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design, rotating equipment, and reliability engineering principles
  • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
