Mechanical Engineer Job Description

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Exp: 7-10 yrs

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Knowledgeable in:
• Mechanical systems
• Materials and material finishes
• Manufacturing processes
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Tolerance stack-up analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledgeable in IPC standards: J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610
• Basic knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards and Circuit Card Assemblies with regards to finishes, coatings, and adhesives

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Mechanically astute. Can bring the correct solution to a given problem
