Mechanical Engineer – Sustainable Design & Build

Are you passionate about high-performance buildings and reducing environmental impact through smart engineering? A mission-driven design-build firm in Denver is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support sustainable, energy-efficient commercial construction projects.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll design HVAC and MEP systems for a range of LEED-focused and decarbonization-driven buildings. You’ll work closely with architects, contractors, and sustainability consultants to deliver integrated, climate-conscious solutions from concept to construction.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Designing HVAC and mechanical systems focused on energy efficiency and sustainability
• Producing detailed MEP models and documentation using Revit
• Conducting load calculations, equipment selection, and system layout
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams for fully integrated project delivery
• Participating in construction administration tasks including RFIs, submittals

Required:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven track record of HVAC/MEP design
• Relevant Revit or AutoCade experience
• Understanding of mechanical codes, system design, and sustainable engineering practices
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience with energy modeling tools (e.g., Trace 700, OpenStudio, eQuest)
• Familiarity with LEED, WELL, or other green building standards
