Summary

Responsibilities * Design and develop new machinery and automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality. * Upgrade and optimize existing machines to enhance performance, reliability, and safety. * Design equipment for handling and processing small parts, ensuring precision and efficiency. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of new and upgraded machines. * Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) to create detailed designs and technical drawings. * Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for new machine designs and upgrades. * Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new and upgraded machines. * Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and maintenance of machinery. * Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills * Mechanical design expertise * Proficiency in machine design * Strong proficiency in mechanical engineering * Experience with sheet metal * Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD * Must have experience with experience with hands on testing, using hand tools, and designing or redesigning equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field * Minimum of 3+ years of experience in machine design and automation, preferably in a manufacturing environment * Proven experience in designing equipment for small parts Work Environment The role operates within a manufacturing environment where innovative machine design is key. The successful candidate will work with state-of-the-art CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, collaborating with various teams to ensure the seamless integration of machinery upgrades and new designs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
