Responsibilities * Design and develop new machinery and automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality. * Upgrade and optimize existing machines to enhance performance, reliability, and safety. * Design equipment for handling and processing small parts, ensuring precision and efficiency. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of new and upgraded machines. * Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) to create detailed designs and technical drawings. * Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for new machine designs and upgrades. * Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new and upgraded machines. * Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and maintenance of machinery. * Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills * Mechanical design expertise * Proficiency in machine design * Strong proficiency in mechanical engineering * Experience with sheet metal * Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD * Must have experience with experience with hands on testing, using hand tools, and designing or redesigning equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field * Minimum of 3+ years of experience in machine design and automation, preferably in a manufacturing environment * Proven experience in designing equipment for small parts Work Environment The role operates within a manufacturing environment where innovative machine design is key. The successful candidate will work with state-of-the-art CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, collaborating with various teams to ensure the seamless integration of machinery upgrades and new designs.
